π Lotting up the Auction
As the saying (almost) goes, there are many different ways to lot an auction. Traditionally, giving your auction the optimal lot order has been a very time-consuming process. No longer. Everyone likes to do this slightly differently, so weβve built the flexibility in Snoofa to order auctions in multiple different ways.
Have a read below to work out which method best suits the way you like to work.
So what are the different sorting methods?
Iβm glad you asked. There are three main sorting settings in Snoofa. To make life easier weβve separate the details of each into their own separate pages:

With the standard method, when lots are added into an auction, the item will be assigned a lot number automatically if it isnβt allocated one at that point. This lot number will be the next available lot number in the sequence. An item canβt be added into an auction without a number, or βunlottedβ.

The automatic method allows you to save some time by βpre-loadingβ the lots in a rough order. This means lots of time does not need to spent ensuring the lots are in the correct areas. The auction can be ordered by category automatically so only small tweaks to the sequence need to be applied later.

Sorting manually removes all of the automation. Items will be added into the auction with the number you give them and not be kept to a perfect sequence: there can be gaps in the lot order. This way, it is also possible to add items into an auction without a lot number assigned.
